Thousands of students in Catholic elementary schools benefit from assistance from the Catholic Services Appeal Foundation. Direct funding is provided in keeping with the local Church’s Road Map for Excellence in Catholic Education to schools with significant unmet financial need in order for them to continue operations. While many of the elementary schools that receive this type of funding are located within the central cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul, funds are also provided to rural schools most in need.
Those schools within the Archdiocese that do not receive direct funding from the CSAF instead receive student scholarship dollars. Every one of the 78 Catholic elementary schools within the Archdiocese receives support from the CSAF through either direct funding or scholarships.
The Catholic Services Appeal Foundation is pleased to be able to support Catholic elementary schools and students in the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis.
For most ministries, CSAF funds only part of their annual budget. Some ministries have other sources of funds, such as participant fees and direct donor gifts for some of their programs.
