The Catholic Services Appeal Foundation (CSAF) was established in 2013 to ensure transparency for donors in the local Church’s mission to serve the poor, support life, and strengthen the Catholic Faith. (For a history of the Appeal itself, which began in 1969, view our “history”).
The four following individuals were instrumental in founding the CSAF, including serving on its initial Board of Directors. The CSAF wishes to thank Mr. Healy, Mr. Mohrman, Mr. Norris, and Mr. Pulles for their years of dedication to guiding our organization in transforming lives!
Tim Healy served as President of the CSAF Board from 2013 – 2017. During his tenure, the CSAF established itself as an independent organization. Tim is currently President/CEO of TackleBar Football. He grew up in Edina attending Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. After graduating from St. John’s University in Collegeville, he served with NET Ministries for a year, and then as St. Rose of Lima’s youth minister for three years prior to establishing Team Spine MN, a medical device supplier that worked with Medtronic. Tim and his wife Helen have seven children and one grandchild. They attend St. Anne’s in Hamel and Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Medina.
Bill Mohrman served on the CSAF board from 2013-2020 and as Secretary of the CSAF Board from 2013 – 2015. He is a founding member of Mohrman, Kaardal & Erickson, P.A., a law firm representing individuals and businesses. Bill grew up in northern New Jersey and graduated from Seton Hall Preparatory School. He earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado in 1982 and a law degree from the University of Colorado Law School in 1985. He and his wife, Joanne, have two adult children. Bill and Joanne live in St. Paul and attend St. Mark’s parish in the Mac-Groveland neighborhood.
John Norris served as Treasurer of the CSAF Board from 2013 – 2017, as President of the Board from 2017-2018, and as a Board Member through June 2020. He previously served on the board for St. John Vianney College Seminary and is a member of the Twin Cities chapter of Legatus, an organization for Catholic business leaders. He is owner of Atscott Mfg, Inc. in Pine City and Tower Solutions LLC in Mendota Heights. John and his wife Nancy attend St. Charles Borromeo in St. Anthony and have three grown children and 18 grandchildren.
Gregory Pulles assisted with the establishment of the CSAF and served as a member of the CSAF Board from 2014 – 2019, including serving as its President from 2018 – 2019. In addition to CSAF, he has served as past Board Chair and Member of the Washburn Child Guidance Center, as Past Board Treasurer and Member of the Catholic Community Foundation, as a Friends of Education charter schools’ Sponsor and past Board Member, and on the Boards of Friends of Ascension Catholic School, and of Saint Paul’s Outreach. A retired attorney, Greg and his wife Michelle live in Plymouth and attend Holy Name of Jesus in Medina and St. Anne’s in Hamel.
